Victim Fights Off Armed Suspects in Harrowing Northwest D.C. Encounter

Washington, DC – A shooting in Northwest DC has prompted a call for public assistance in identifying the suspects involved.

On October 11, at approximately 12:10 p.m., the suspects approached a victim in the Unit block of Banner Lane, Northwest. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. During a struggle, the suspect shot the victim, grazing him, but the suspects fled without taking anything. The victim received treatment on the scene for a non-life-threatening injury.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects, which may aid in the investigation.

Metro Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.
