MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — A lucky player in Luzerne County has won $1,000 a week for life, or a one-time cash prize of $1 million, in the Cash4Life multi-state game. The winning ticket for the September 5 drawing was sold at Fuel On, located at 6 West Butler Drive in Drums.

The ticket matched all five white balls drawn—2, 22, 31, 48, 56—but missed the green Cash Ball 1, earning the player a choice between an annuity prize of $52,000 per year for life or a lump sum cash payout of $1 million, both before applicable tax withholdings. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Winners remain anonymous until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Cash4Life winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes. The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately and visit palottery.com for claim instructions.

Additionally, more than 4,600 other Cash4Life tickets sold in Pennsylvania won prizes in the September 5 drawing. Players are reminded to check their tickets carefully.
