NEWARK, N.J. — Several accidents are causing delays on key New Jersey highways this morning, according to the state’s Department of Transportation.

As of 7:58 a.m., a crash on the US 1&9 Truck Route northbound, just past the Hackensack River Drawbridge in Jersey City, has blocked one center lane.

Earlier, at 7:51 a.m., a collision on the northbound Garden State Parkway near Exit 131 (Wood Avenue South) in Woodbridge Township forced vehicles onto the right shoulder. All lanes have since reopened.

In Cherry Hill Township, a crash at 7:48 a.m. on I-295 southbound, just past Exit 34 (NJ 70), has shut down one left lane. Drivers should proceed with caution.

At 7:45 a.m., an overturned vehicle and a street light knockdown on NJ 3 near Paterson Plank Road and the New Jersey Turnpike’s Western Spur in East Rutherford closed a left lane in both directions.

In Edison Township, a crash on US 1 northbound, south of CR 531/Main Street, resulted in a right lane closure at 7:38 a.m.

A southbound crash on the Garden State Parkway north of Exit 151 (Watchung Street) in Bloomfield at 7:30 a.m. saw all lanes reopened, though vehicles remain on the shoulder.

A crash investigation on NJ 38 at CR 612/Pine Street in Mount Holly Township has closed all lanes in both directions as of 7:11 a.m. A detour has been set up to redirect traffic.

Finally, as of 6:43 a.m., a pedestrian accident on NJ 23 southbound near CR 699/Old Ridge Road in West Milford Township has all lanes shut down with traffic being rerouted.

Drivers should expect delays in these areas and use caution while traveling.
