Police Search for Suspect in Strong-Arm Robbery in Manassas

MANASSAS, Va. — Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred early Thursday morning in the area of Notre Dame Court and Coverstone Drive, authorities said.

The incident took place at approximately 4:28 a.m. on September 5, 2024. According to the investigation, a 46-year-old man was walking to his vehicle when an unknown male approached him and demanded money. The victim initially ignored the suspect and continued to his vehicle. The man then became agitated, forcibly taking a high-dollar tool from the victim’s hands before pushing and kicking him.

The suspect stole the tool and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 unit searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid-20s, approximately 5’6″ tall, with a thin build and weighing around 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, pants, a medical-style mask, a red glove, and a black glove.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
