NYPD Continues Search for Five Who Brutally Assaulted and Robbed Food Delivery Driver

A 48-year-old delivery driver found himself in a terrifying situation on Friday, July 19, 2024, at around 5:14 PM. While dropping off food at 673 62nd Street, the driver was surrounded by five unidentified individuals who had something far more sinister in mind than a simple order pickup.

The group wasted no time and launched a violent assault, punching the victim in the head and forcibly snatching the food he was delivering. They also attempted to steal his wallet, but thankfully, they were unsuccessful in that attempt. The group fled the scene on foot, heading towards the nearby train station at 62nd Street and 7th Avenue.

Thankfully, the delivery driver was wearing a helmet, which protected him from sustaining any injuries during the assault.

Police are now on the lookout for the five suspects involved. All five are described as males with slim builds, each wearing different combinations of dark clothing and face coverings:

  • The first individual was spotted wearing a black surgical mask and a gray Nike hoodie.
  • The second was dressed in a blue surgical mask, a black hoodie, and black jeans.
  • The third was seen wearing a black durag, a blue surgical mask, a black T-shirt, and a black hoodie.
  • The fourth individual was last seen in a black T-shirt, a black hoodie, and black pants.
  • The fifth suspect was dressed in a blue surgical mask, a black Nike hoodie, and gray shorts.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about this incident or the identities of the individuals involved to come forward. The investigation is ongoing, and police are determined to bring those responsible to justice.
