NEW YORK, NY — A violent assault occurred in front of 37 Monroe Street on Tuesday, where a 58-year-old woman was attacked by two unidentified assailants wielding a bat. The incident took place at approximately 2:08 PM.
The victim was reportedly walking along Monroe Street when the attackers approached and began striking her multiple times, focusing on her legs and head. Following the assault, the suspects fled eastbound on Madison Street.

Emergency services responded promptly, and the woman was transported to New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. She is currently in stable condition, suffering from injuries to her leg and swelling to her head.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and no arrests have been made as of yet. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible.
