WILKES-BARRE, PA—The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department is investigating an act of criminal mischief that resulted in damage to a resident’s pool on Mayock Street. The incident was reported to have occurred overnight on June 23.
A 55-year-old woman from Wilkes-Barre contacted the police after discovering her pool had been vandalized. According to the victim, an unknown perpetrator threw various items into the pool, including a ladder, weed eater, lounge chair, and string lights. This act of vandalism caused significant damage to the pool’s liner.
Police responded to the scene Saturday evening to assess the damage and begin their investigation. Authorities are currently looking for leads to identify the suspect responsible for this property damage. The investigation remains active as officials gather more information.
