Traffic Alerts Across New Jersey

CEDAR GROVE, NJ—A crash with injuries and a downed tree have resulted in the closure of all lanes on NJ 23 northbound at CR 604/Lindsley Rd in Cedar Grove Township. The incident occurred at 8:36 AM, and traffic is being detoured. Simultaneously, another downed tree has obstructed one right lane on NJ 70 westbound, east of CR 607/Maple Ave in Evesham Township as of 8:19 AM.

HAMILTON, NJ—There was a vehicle fire on I-195 eastbound west of Exit 1 – US 206 in Hamilton Township, reported at 8:36 AM. The right shoulder is closed, causing a delay of 5-10 minutes. Motorists are advised to use caution.

CLIFTON, NJ—A crash investigation is underway on US 46 in both directions east of Garden State Parkway in Clifton. As of 8:30 AM, all lanes have been closed and traffic is being detoured.

PATERSON, NJ—At 7:50 AM, an overturned tractor-trailer resulted in a fuel spill on the I-80 eastbound ramp to Exit 58 – Madison Ave in Paterson. This has led to the closure of exits 58A and 58B.

In addition to these incidents, numerous delays due to volume and other disruptions have been reported across the state, impacting major arteries like the Garden State Parkway, George Washington Bridge, and various interstate and state highways. Notably, delays up to 40 minutes are affecting travel through the Lincoln Tunnel and George Washington Bridge as traffic builds up during the morning rush.
