Traffic Alert: Crash and Utility Pole Incident Blocks Ramp on Garden State Parkway

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority reported the incident, which started at 3:03 AM today and was updated at 3:05 AM.
Motorists heading northbound on the Garden State Parkway should expect delays entering the Larry Doby Service Area in Bloomfield. Emergency services are on scene, and efforts to clear the ramp are underway. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes if possible and to exercise caution when approaching the area.
In 2022, the Brookdale North Service Area on the Garden State Parkway in Bloomfield had been renamed in honor of New Jersey Hall of Famer Larry Doby, a baseball star at Paterson Eastside High School who went on to become the first African American player in the American League.
