BOSTON, MA – In the early hours of Tuesday, Boston police arrested 25-year-old Kamari Miller from Boston on charges related to firearms and drugs. The incident occurred around 2:30 AM in the Roxbury neighborhood.
Responding to a shot spotter activation at Weaver Court and Weaver Way, officers were informed that two black SUVs had fled towards Columbus Avenue. They located one of the vehicles parked on Academy Road and noticed an individual walking away from it.
As officers approached, they activated their emergency equipment, prompting the individual, later identified as Miller, to attempt to walk in the opposite direction. Police successfully detained him and during a search, discovered he was carrying a firearm inside a bucket hat.
The firearm, a ghost gun, was found to contain one round in the chamber and two additional rounds in its magazine. Miller now faces multiple charges as a result of the incident.
