MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A severe motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a car occurred at the intersection of County Route 571 and Beacon Street on Sunday, June 9, around 1:11 PM.
Upon arrival, Manchester Township Police discovered 30-year-old Collins Oluleti from Toms River critically injured. Oluleti, who was operating a 2024 black Kawasaki Vulcan S, sustained a severe head injury and was found unresponsive in the roadway. He was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he remains in critical condition.
The accident investigation revealed that the Kawasaki was traveling eastbound when a silver 2004 Toyota Camry, traveling north and stopping at the intersection, proceeded and entered Oluleti’s lane. This action led Oluleti to brake sharply, causing him to lose control and fall, sliding into the Toyota and ultimately being dragged under it.
The Toyota, driven by 26-year-old Andy Hernandez-Cheneaux of Toms River, sustained front-end damage but Hernandez-Cheneaux and his three passengers were uninjured. Emergency responders at the scene included EMTs, firefighters from Ridgeway and Manchester Volunteer Fire Departments, and Robert Wood Johnson Paramedics and Life Flight.
