SILVER SPRING, MD – Maryland celebrates its first Mega Millions millionaire of 2024, with a winning ticket purchased in Silver Spring for the draw on Tuesday, June 4. This comes as the major jackpot of $560 million was claimed in Illinois.
The $1 million prize-winning ticket was sold at Aspen Hills Citgo, located at 13615 Georgia Avenue. For facilitating the sale, the Montgomery County retailer will receive a $2,500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery. Additional wins include $10,000 tickets sold at Talbert’s Ice & Beverage Service in Bethesda and a 7-Eleven in Ocean City.
Maryland saw significant winnings in this draw, with 23,694 local players winning amounts ranging from $2 to $1 million. The winning numbers were 19, 37, 40, 63, and 69, with a Mega Ball of 17.
Lottery officials are advising all winners to secure their tickets by signing the back and keeping them in a safe place. Winners have 182 days from the draw date to claim their prizes.
