ROXBURY, MA—On the night of Saturday, Joshua Carvahlo, a 25-year-old from Foxboro, was arrested by Boston Police for various firearm and drug-related charges. The arrest occurred at 60 Annunciation Road, Roxbury, amidst reports of a large disturbance.
Boston Police officers, responding to a call about over 30 individuals engaged in a fistfight at the Annunciation Housing development, arrived to find a large group drinking and causing a commotion. During the intervention, officers noticed a man dressed in black who detached himself from the group and appeared to hide something under a parked vehicle.
Upon inspection behind the vehicle, officers found a firearm concealed inside a sock. The suspect was promptly arrested and a subsequent search during the booking process revealed him possessing a large bag containing approximately 14 grams of a substance suspected to be crack cocaine.
Further investigation identified the recovered firearm as a black Ruger LCP .380 auto, loaded with six rounds of ammunition but with no round in the chamber.
The firearm’s serial number had been deliberately obliterated. Carvahlo is currently being held and faces multiple charges related to the incident.
