WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police have arrested a 14-year-old from Wilmington in connection with multiple burglaries and a robbery that occurred throughout May in North Wilmington.

The series of crimes began on May 15, 2024, with a knifepoint robbery at the Walgreens on 802 Philadelphia Pike. An unknown male suspect reportedly threatened an employee with a large knife, demanding cash from the registers. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed sum of money toward Duncan Road.

Two days later, on May 17, a burglary was reported at Belak Flowers on 832 Philadelphia Pike. The suspect broke into the store using a rock to shatter a glass window, stealing property, money, and keys to a Chevrolet Express van, which was later found abandoned near the Paladin Club Condominiums.

From May 22 to May 27, the same suspect is believed to have burglarized four medical centers in North Wilmington: Pure Wellness, Dougherty Dental Solutions, Wilmington Medical Associates, and Synergy Integrated Health. In each instance, the suspect used a tool or brick to break into the facilities, stealing medical supplies and cash.

Collaborative efforts between Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Detectives, New Castle County Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) led to the identification of the suspect as the same individual involved in similar incidents under the jurisdiction of the New Castle County Police. The young suspect was apprehended by the New Castle County Police on May 28, 2024.

The arrest highlights a concerning pattern of criminal behavior involving significant threats to community safety and property. The teenager is currently in custody, facing charges for both the burglaries and the armed robbery.
