East Veterans Highway was shut down in both directions on Thursday afternoon after a serious head-on crash involving two vehicles occurred near the intersection of Cleveland Court. The incident was reported shortly before 5 pm.
A black minivan traveling northbound on East Veterans collided with a white SUV in the southbound lane. Two people, a four-year-old child passenger in the minivan and a female driver of the SUV died after suffering serious injuries in the crash.
Two others were sent to the hospital with other injuries.
Police have not yet released any details regarding the accident.
According to the New Jersey State Police, this is the second fatal crash in Jackson in 2024. On April 9th, one person was killed in a crash on Route 571.
