TAYLORSVILLE, NC—Samantha Crouch of Taylorsville struck it big on Friday, winning the first $150,000 top prize in a new digital instant game. Crouch’s winning game was Skee-Ball, for which she played $30 and beat the odds of 1 in 1 million.
The prize was claimed on Wednesday at the lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After the deduction of state and federal taxes, Crouch received $107,259.
Digital instant games, such as the one Crouch played, are available exclusively online either through the North Carolina lottery’s website or its official mobile app. Players currently have a choice among twenty-two different games available for online play.
