STAFFORD, VA—A series of disturbing hit and run incidents occurred on Monday, leading to multiple charges and one arrest. At 7:03 AM, Dominion Energy at 980 Warrenton Road was the site of an alarming event where a woman reported being chased by her ex-boyfriend along Warrenton Road.
Deputy K.R. Sprinkles arrived at the scene following a call about the incident. The ex-boyfriend reportedly struck the victim’s vehicle twice before fleeing. He later returned armed with a hammer but was apprehended while at a nearby Chick-Fil-A. Charges against him include destruction of property, hit and run, disorderly conduct, and reckless driving.
He is currently held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
In a separate incident on the same day, at 6:57 PM, Deputy J.A. Albright responded to another hit and run at 25 South Gateway Drive, near Target. The victim reported that her vehicle was struck while she was inside. Fortunately, a witness was able to note the suspect vehicle’s license plate, aiding in the ongoing investigation.
