Hit-and-Run in Jersey City Leaves Bicyclist Critically Injured

JERSEY CITY, NJ – A serious hit-and-run incident is currently under investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department. The collision, which occurred early Saturday morning, has left a 21-year-old bicyclist from Bayonne with life-threatening injuries.

The incident was reported just before 5 a.m. in the area of Garfield Avenue, Gates Avenue, and Seaview Avenue in Jersey City. Upon arrival, police found the male victim critically injured. The vehicle involved in the strike did not remain at the scene. The injured bicyclist was promptly transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
