$600K crossword king! Jersey player strikes it rich at Krauser’s

TRENTON, NJ — A New Jersey Lottery Scratch-Off player scored a $600,000 jackpot last week, leading a trio of major prize wins announced by lottery officials on Monday.

The $600,000 winning ticket came from the Colossal Crossword game and was purchased on April 23 at Krauser’s, located at 93 Woodbridge Avenue in Highland Park, Middlesex County. It marked the third and final top prize claimed in that game’s current version, #01896. Another version of Colossal Crossword, #01921, still has all three top prizes available.

Two additional scratch-off players each won $200,000 prizes last week. On April 21, the first of three top prizes for the $5 Jersey Pop game was claimed at Walmart #2825 in Old Bridge, Middlesex County. Another $200,000 win came on April 25 from the $5 Sizzling Hot 7’s game, with the ticket purchased at Lucky 7 Deli & Convenience Store in Ringwood, Passaic County.

Lottery continues to fund public programs

Since its start in 1970, the New Jersey Lottery has contributed nearly $33.7 billion to state programs and services. Under a 30-year agreement signed into law in 2017, lottery profits help support the state’s public employee pension system.
