PORTSMOUTH, OH — A lucky lottery player in Portsmouth scratched their way to a $20,000 prize playing the Ohio Lottery’s $300 Million Diamond Dazzler game, officials confirmed Wednesday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Mac a Doo’s Drive Thru, located at 2010 Scioto Trail in Portsmouth. The scratch-off game, which costs $20 per ticket, offers a top prize of $80,000 a year for 25 years.

After mandatory state and federal tax withholding of 28 percent, the player will take home approximately $14,400 from the $20,000 win.

One top prize remains as game continues to pay out

As of Tuesday, April 22, the $300 Million Diamond Dazzler scratch-off still has one top prize available, along with other cash awards across various prize levels.

The Ohio Lottery has been a consistent contributor to state education programs, with more than $33 billion raised for schools since its inception in 1974.

Mac a Doo’s Drive Thru, where the winning ticket was sold, will not receive a commission for this level of prize under Ohio Lottery regulations.
