PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — FlavorFest 2025, the annual food and beer tasting fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence (BBBSI), is set to take place Wednesday at Double Nickel Brewing Co., offering a night of culinary experiences and community support.
The April 30 event, hosted by BBBSI’s New Jersey Regional Advisory Board, will feature unlimited tastings from top South Jersey restaurants and caterers, alongside local craft beer—all to raise funds for youth mentoring programs serving Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania.

“FlavorFest is the perfect mix of great food, great people, and a great purpose,” said BBBSI CEO Marcus Allen, who is scheduled to deliver remarks during the evening. The event’s focus is on generating support for the organization’s mentoring programs that pair adult volunteers with children in need of guidance and encouragement.
VIP guests and sponsors will be welcomed at a private reception beginning at 5:00 p.m., with general admission opening at 5:30 p.m. The main program runs until 8:30 p.m. at Double Nickel Brewing Co., located at 1585 NJ-73 in Pennsauken.
The event will include a silent auction and a wine pull experience. Bigs and Littles, the mentoring pairs that are the cornerstone of BBBSI’s programs, will serve as guest judges for awards recognizing the “Best Savory Dish” and “Best Sweet Dish.”
Overflow parking for attendees will be available at Pennsauken High School, with shuttle service provided to and from the venue.

FlavorFest will showcase a wide range of participating restaurants, including Sunflour Bakeshop, The Sweet Spot, Cesily’s Love Meals, La Ingrata, Kreamie’s Bakery, and Rochester’s Barbeque & Grill. Double Nickel Brewing Co. will provide craft beer for the evening.
More than 200 guests are expected to attend, including corporate sponsors, local business owners, and community leaders. Memorable photo opportunities with sponsors, restaurant partners, and mentoring matches will also be featured.
The fundraiser is backed by sponsors such as ABA Centers of America, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Bricktown Builders, Double Nickel Brewing Co., and ShopRite, among others.
