GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Two men were held at gunpoint in separate armed robberies just 35 minutes apart Wednesday afternoon in Anne Arundel County, prompting an urgent investigation by Eastern District detectives.

The first incident occurred at approximately 4:05 p.m. in the 7700 block of Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie, where a 53-year-old man was robbed while walking. Less than an hour later, a 56-year-old man was targeted in a similar fashion on Veterans Highway in Millersville. Police believe the same suspect may be connected to both crimes.

Victims ambushed from behind

In the Glen Burnie robbery, the suspect approached the victim from behind, pointed a gun at him, and demanded his belongings. After the victim complied, the suspect fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Roughly 35 minutes later, a second armed robbery was reported in the 8000 block of Veterans Highway in Millersville. In that case, the victim was standing near his vehicle when a similarly described suspect walked up from behind, placed a gun to his back, and demanded money. The suspect was last seen walking toward Cloverleaf Commons.

Authorities seek public’s help

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating both robberies and has not yet confirmed whether the incidents are definitively linked. However, the suspect descriptions and method of operation are consistent across both incidents.
