BRONX, N.Y. — The NYPD is searching for three suspects who allegedly robbed a 15-year-old boy at gunpoint and knifepoint inside Crotona Park on Friday afternoon.
According to police, the incident took place at approximately 2:58 p.m. within the confines of the 42nd Precinct. Authorities said the teenager was walking in the park when three unidentified males approached him.
Two of the suspects allegedly brandished black firearms, while the third displayed a knife. Working in concert, the trio forcibly removed the teen’s Carhartt vest, an Essentials hooded sweatshirt, and a laundromat card before fleeing on foot, police said.
The victim was not physically injured during the robbery. Police have released surveillance images of the suspects and are appealing to the public for help in identifying them.
The first suspect is described as a male with a medium build, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and between 18 and 22 years old. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants, and black and white sneakers.
The second suspect is also described as a male with a medium build and dark complexion, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and between 18 and 22 years old. He was last seen in a black skullcap, a black zip-up sweater with a white “AX” logo on the left side, gray sweatpants, and gray sneakers.
Suspect descriptions and police response
The third suspect, matching the same general description, was seen wearing a skullcap under a camouflage hooded sweatshirt, pink sweatpants, and gray sneakers, according to police.
“The individuals fled on foot in an unknown direction,” the NYPD stated in a release. Investigators are canvassing the area for surveillance footage and eyewitnesses.

Police urge anyone with information regarding the identities or whereabouts of the individuals to come forward.
