BALTIMORE, Md. — A man and woman were hospitalized early Sunday morning after a shooting in the heart of downtown Baltimore that began with gunfire echoing through the Central District.

Just before 6 a.m. on April 20, patrol officers were in the area of Eutaw and Saratoga Streets when they heard shots ring out. Moments later, they spotted a 25-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

While canvassing the area, officers discovered a second victim—an adult female—also shot. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Medics responded to the scene and transported both individuals to local hospitals for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.

According to preliminary findings, the shooting took place in the 300 block of North Eutaw Street. No arrests have been made, and investigators have not released any information regarding suspects or a possible motive.
