NEW YORK — Two lucky TAKE 5 players each won $9,787.50 after purchasing top-prize tickets in different parts of the state for the April 18 midday drawing.
One of the winning tickets was sold at Webster Meat Farm, located at 1170 Webster Avenue in the Bronx. The other ticket was sold at Mr Tobacco, located at 17 Singer Lane in Smithtown, Suffolk County.
Each store will receive a retailer bonus from the New York Lottery for selling a top-prize ticket. The TAKE 5 drawing is held twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with numbers drawn from a field of one through 39.
The prizes, which were split between the two winning tickets, remain valid for up to one year from the date of the drawing. Winners have not yet been publicly identified.
Both the Bronx and Smithtown wins add to a streak of recent TAKE 5 top-prize hits throughout New York, highlighting the popularity and reach of the game statewide.
