DOVER, DE — A New York man was arrested Friday after allegedly brandishing a firearm during a road rage incident on Route 1 northbound near Dover, with children present in both vehicles, Delaware State Police said.
Donald Renfer, 44, of Chittenango, New York, was taken into custody at a Wawa gas station in Smyrna shortly after the 3:49 p.m. incident. Troopers responded to the store at 500 Jimmy Drive after receiving a report of a confrontation involving a firearm.
Investigators say Renfer, driving a white GMC pickup, was involved in an altercation with a 48-year-old woman and her two grandchildren just north of the Dover Toll Plaza. During the confrontation, Renfer allegedly displayed a firearm and threw a bottle at the victim’s vehicle.

No injuries were reported.
