EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 43-year-old Matawan man was arrested Friday in connection with three separate shooting incidents that occurred in East Brunswick this month, authorities announced.
Sameh F. Kaldes was taken into custody without incident on April 18 after he was located returning to Cranbury Circle, the site of the reported shootings. East Brunswick police responded to the area multiple times throughout April for reports of gunfire. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, the shootings were not random and the suspect was known to the victims. Following an investigation, Kaldes was charged with two counts of attempted murder, stalking, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and receiving stolen property.
He was transported to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center after being processed.

Detectives from the East Brunswick Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office continue to investigate the case. Authorities are asking residents or businesses with information or video footage from Cranbury Circle to come forward.
