SEVERNA PARK, MD — A Severna Park woman claimed a $134,985 FAST PLAY Grand Progressive jackpot this week, becoming the fourth winner of the top prize in the Maryland Lottery’s $10 progressive game.
Brenda, a resident of Anne Arundel County, visited Lottery Headquarters on April 18 to collect her prize, which she won after purchasing the ticket on April 13 at a 7-Eleven on Ritchie Highway.
Initially unsure if her ticket was a winner, Brenda said she scanned it at a ticket checker. “It was real dramatic with the screen going blank,” she recalled, followed by the message directing her to contact the Lottery. She later identified the matching number 25 alongside the progressive jackpot symbol, confirming the win.
The progressive jackpot total was verified at $134,985. Brenda said she plans to put the money toward retirement savings.
The 7-Eleven that sold the winning ticket will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Maryland Lottery.
Fourth jackpot winner since game launch
Brenda is the fourth person to win a progressive jackpot in the $10 Grand Progressive game, which launched in April 2024. Previous winners were from La Plata, Odenton, and a Pennsylvania resident who bought a ticket in Laurel.
