BALTIMORE, MD — Two Baltimore men have been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that left a 35-year-old man wounded earlier this week in the city’s Southwest District.

Quick police response leads to suspect apprehension

Officers responded to reports of a shooting on April 15 and located a man suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1800 block of West Pratt Street. A brief foot pursuit followed as the suspects attempted to flee the area.

Both individuals were captured shortly after the incident and taken into custody without further incident.



Suspects charged with attempted murder and handgun violations

Javon Brown, 21, faces charges including attempted first-degree and second-degree murder and multiple handgun-related offenses. Michael Yerby, 20, was charged with attempted first-degree murder and several counts of conspiracy.

Both suspects were transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. The case remains under investigation by Southwest District detectives.
