BROOKLYN, NYPolice are searching for a woman who defaced a parked Tesla with a brick marked with a swastika and dumped trash on the vehicle in what authorities are investigating as a hate crime in the 66th Precinct, officials said Wednesday.

Swastika drawn on brick left on Tesla

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at approximately 5:53 p.m. on Monday, April 7, when a 38-year-old man parked his 2024 Tesla opposite 617 Ditmas Avenue. An unidentified woman then approached the unoccupied vehicle and placed a brick marked with a swastika on top of it.

The suspect also dumped garbage and left a black trash bag on the car before fleeing westbound on Ditmas Avenue riding a razor scooter. There were no injuries reported in connection to the act.

The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force has taken over the investigation.

The suspect is described as a female with a light complexion and long blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a pink hooded jacket, blue jeans, and black rainboots. Police believe she fled the scene using a razor scooter.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, whose image has been released.
