Philadelphia police responded to a call just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday at an apartment on the 4400 block of Frankford Avenue in the city’s Frankford neighborhood. There, officers discovered the woman’s body concealed inside a futon. She had been stabbed multiple times in the neck and torso.

The woman’s identity has not yet been released by authorities, but friends and former co-workers told local media she was an “outgoing” young woman who had arrived from Venezuela about a year ago. They described her as someone who “loved to have fun” and often spent time with friends and their children.
