BALTIMORE, MD — A 30-year-old man found unresponsive with signs of trauma on a West Baltimore street died at a local hospital Sunday, prompting a homicide investigation by city police.

Western District patrol officers were called to the 1500 block of North Payson Street at approximately 5:33 p.m. Saturday following a report of an unresponsive male.

Upon arrival, they found the 30-year-old victim suffering from apparent physical trauma. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Victim dies from injuries a day later

Despite medical intervention, the man died on April 6. Police have not released his identity and no information has been shared regarding potential suspects or a motive.

Homicide detectives have assumed control of the investigation and are continuing to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses.
