ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD – A 17-year-old high school student is facing adult charges after police linked him to a daylight shooting last month near Crain Highway, Anne Arundel County officials announced.
The shooting occurred on March 17 around 4:20 p.m. near Crain Highway and Crain Court Circle. Witnesses told responding officers that a person dressed entirely in black emerged from an apartment complex and opened fire on three individuals, who fled across the highway toward Thelma Avenue. No victims were located at the scene.
Following an investigation assisted by school resource officers at Glen Burnie High School, the suspect was arrested on March 28.
A search warrant executed at the teen’s residence uncovered key evidence, multiple firearms, and a significant quantity of drugs, police said.
The teen is being charged as an adult in connection with the shooting. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
