RICHMOND, VA — Richmond Police are searching for two individuals caught on surveillance camera during an early morning burglary at a business on West Cary Street that resulted in the theft of thousands of dollars in tobacco products.

The break-in occurred around 5:18 a.m. Wednesday at a commercial property in the 2700 block of West Cary Street. According to police, two unidentified suspects forced entry into the locked business and stole more than $2,000 worth of tobacco merchandise before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Detectives from the department’s Third Precinct released surveillance photos of the individuals and are requesting the public’s help to identify them.
“These individuals are persons of interest in a commercial burglary investigation,” Richmond Police said in a statement.
Authorities did not provide further details about the suspects’ appearance or possible vehicle, but urged anyone with information to contact Detective D.
