MIDDLETOWN, Del. — Three juveniles were arrested last week in connection with multiple vehicle thefts and attempted thefts in Middletown, police announced.

On the morning of March 28, the Middletown Police Department responded to several theft reports from vehicles in the Middletown Village community. Surveillance footage showed at least three suspects wearing ski masks and gloves in the area.

Later that evening, officers were dispatched to a theft in progress on the 500 block of Aidone Drive. There, four juvenile males were located, and police received additional reports of similar suspicious activity in the nearby Preserve at Westown community.

Following a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended three of the suspects: two 13-year-old males from Newark and Middletown and a 15-year-old from Middletown. Police confirmed through investigation that the juveniles were responsible for the earlier incidents.

Each suspect was charged with two counts of theft under $1,500, six counts of attempted theft under $1,500, conspiracy in the third degree, and resisting arrest.

All three were released on their own recognizance to the custody of their parents.
