WASHINGTON, DC — A robbery involving a stolen scooter and firearms ended with the arrest of three suspects in Northeast DC after officers responded swiftly to the scene.
Around 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, a victim was riding a scooter in the 4900 block of Jay Street, Northeast, when approached by three individuals who displayed guns and demanded property. The suspects fled the scene with both the victim’s belongings and the scooter.
Officers canvassed the area and quickly located the suspects. Police arrested 18-year-old Kasone Pimble and 19-year-old Mark Hudgens, both of Northeast DC, charging them with Armed Robbery. A third suspect, 22-year-old Daymonte Jones, also of Northeast, was charged with Carrying a Pistol without a License and Receiving Stolen Property.
The victim’s property and scooter were recovered following the arrests.
No injuries were reported during the robbery, and the investigation remains ongoing.
