HERMITAGE, PA — A Pennsylvania Lottery Fast Play ticket worth $234,946 was sold at a Walmart in Mercer County, marking a major win for the progressive Golden Vault game.
The winning ticket was sold on Thursday at Walmart, located at 1275 North Hermitage Road in Hermitage. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the ticket, which hit the progressive top prize.
Golden Vault is a $10 Fast Play game that starts with a top prize of $175,000 and increases until it is won. Unlike Scratch-Offs, Fast Play tickets are printed on demand and do not require scratching or waiting for a draw.
The identity of the winner has not yet been released. All Pennsylvania Lottery prizes over $5,000 are subject to applicable taxes, and winners must come forward to claim and validate their tickets before they can be identified.
Players are reminded to sign the back of their winning tickets and call the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481 to begin the claim process. Fast Play prizes must be claimed within one year of the ticket’s purchase date.
March is also recognized as Problem Gambling Awareness Month, and resources are available for players who may need assistance by calling 1-800-GAMBLER or visiting pacouncil.com.
