NEWBURGH, NY — A third-prize Powerball ticket worth $150,000 was sold in Newburgh for the March 26 drawing, the New York Lottery announced Wednesday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Road. The player matched four white balls and the Power Ball and added the Power Play option, which multiplied the standard $50,000 third-tier prize by three.

The Powerball drawing is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., with the Power Play option offering the chance to multiply non-jackpot winnings by up to 10 times.

The New York Lottery continues to be the most profitable lottery in North America, contributing $3.8 billion in fiscal year 2023–2024 to support public education in the state.
