KENT, OH — A lucky Ohio Lottery player scored a $20,000 prize after purchasing a VIP Millions scratch-off ticket at a Kent retailer, officials announced Thursday.
The winning ticket was sold at Westside Food Mart, located at 1152 W Main Street. The player will take home approximately $14,400 after federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28 percent.
VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of March 27, 42 top prizes remain unclaimed in the game.
The Ohio Lottery has contributed over $33 billion to support public education across the state since 1974.
