TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Ocean County Commissioner Frank Sadeghi publicly thanked CASA of Ocean County for its work supporting underrepresented children in foster care, recognizing the group’s impact on vulnerable youth in the community.
Sadeghi praised the organization and its volunteers for providing stability and guidance to children during challenging times. “CASA volunteers provide foster children in Ocean County with a steady and consistent adult presence during times of need and provide them mentoring opportunities,” he said.
Sadeghi credited volunteer-based efforts like CASA with strengthening community ties and enhancing the lives of families. “It is through the involvement of organizations that rely on volunteer’s who provide these critical services that our community becomes a better place to live and raise a family,” he wrote.
The commissioner also highlighted the need to remain focused on the underprivileged, urging residents not to forget those most in need.
CASA of Ocean County recruits, trains, and supports volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children in the foster care system throughout court proceedings and beyond.
The organization operates independently and works in coordination with New Jersey’s child welfare and judicial systems to ensure children’s voices are heard.
