AKRON, OH — A lucky Ohio Lottery player scored a $20,000 prize after purchasing a VIP Millions scratch-off ticket in Akron, lottery officials announced Thursday.
The winning ticket was sold at Circle K #5419, located at 1830 E Waterloo Road. After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $14,400.
VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game that offers a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of March 27, there are still 42 top prizes remaining.
The Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education since 1974.
