Bride-to-be brutally attacked during bachelorette party in Texas, faces $10K in medical bills

TEXAS — A woman celebrating her upcoming wedding was violently assaulted during her bachelorette party on Saturday night, March 22, leaving her hospitalized with severe injuries and over $10,000 in medical expenses, according to a public fundraiser launched on her behalf.

The victim, identified as Canada Rinaldi, was approached and attacked by an unknown man during what had been described as “the best trip of her life.” She was knocked unconscious and sustained a concussion, broken nose, three broken teeth, and required eight stitches to her face, according to the fundraiser.

Key Points

  • Bride-to-be assaulted by a stranger during her bachelorette party on March 22
  • Sustained serious injuries including a concussion and facial fractures
  • A fundraiser has been launched to help cover over $10,000 in medical costs

The assault occurred just four weeks before her wedding. Rinaldi was rushed to a hospital by ambulance and received emergency treatment, but the attacker has not been identified or arrested, leaving her to bear the cost of her care alone.

A GoFundMe page titled Help Her Heal: Medical Support After a Violent Attack was organized by Kirsten McDowell on behalf of Rinaldi. The campaign has since been updated to reflect increasing medical expenses.

“She’s now trying to heal—not only physically, but emotionally and financially—when she should be counting down the days to her wedding,” the page states.

Organizers say the financial burden includes ambulance transport, a hospital stay, and continuing treatment that is not covered by insurance.
