QUEENS, N.Y. — An off-duty NYPD school safety agent was arrested Tuesday night in Queens and charged with assault, police said.

Shafkath Tabassum, 30, was taken into custody at 10:17 p.m. within the confines of the 115th Precinct. She faces one count of third-degree assault, according to the NYPD.
