ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Alexandria Police Department announced Tuesday that investigators have found no evidence suggesting foul play in the death of Jessica Aber.
According to police, the investigation remains active, but preliminary findings indicate Aber’s death was likely due to natural causes. Detectives are awaiting a final ruling from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

“The Alexandria Police Department continues its investigation into the death of Ms. Jessica Aber,” the department said in a public release dated March 25.
“At this time, detectives have found no evidence suggesting that her death was caused by anything other than natural causes.”
The police stated that the case will stay open until the OCME completes its examination and confirms the cause and manner of death.
“We urge the public to respect the privacy of Ms. Aber’s family during this time of loss,” the department added.
