ALBANY, N.Y. — Two New York Lottery players scored identical top prizes in Sunday’s TAKE 5 MIDDAY drawing, each pocketing $8,510.50 after purchasing tickets in Buffalo and East Elmhurst.

The first winning ticket was sold at The Market in the Square, located at 940 Union Road in Buffalo. The second top-prize ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven store at 87-16 Astoria Boulevard in East Elmhurst, Queens.

TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with numbers selected from a field of one through 39. Players have one year from the draw date to claim their winnings.

The TAKE 5 MIDDAY win added to a weekend of statewide excitement for players hoping to turn small wagers into large payouts.

The New York Lottery, the most profitable in North America, reported contributing $3.8 billion during the 2023–2024 fiscal year to support public education across the state.

Both players now have a year to claim their $8,510.50 prizes, which are among the game’s top awards for a single draw.
