WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man from Baltimore was shot and killed Tuesday morning in Southeast D.C., prompting a homicide investigation.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on March 18, officers responded to the 3000 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue SE for reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found an adult male unconscious and suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Derrick Howard of Baltimore, MD.
