CHANTILLY, VA — A routine stop at a 7-Eleven in Chantilly turned into a multimillion-dollar payday for an Ashburn woman after she purchased a winning $5 million Virginia Lottery ticket.

Jennifer Ivey bought a 100X the Money scratch-off ticket at the 7-Eleven located at 25465 Pleasant Valley Road. After scratching it at home, she discovered she had won the game’s top prize.

She had the choice of receiving the full $5 million in annual payments over 30 years or a one-time cash payout of $3,125,000 before taxes. She opted for the lump sum. The 7-Eleven store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The 100X the Money scratcher has one remaining unclaimed top prize. All Virginia Lottery profits support K-12 education, with Loudoun County receiving more than $23.6 million in lottery funds last fiscal year.
