BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore County woman who regularly plays the Maryland Lottery has claimed a $100,000 top prize after purchasing a $100,000 Crossword scratch-off ticket at a Baltimore City retailer.
The Halethorpe resident bought the winning $10 ticket at Pop’s Liquors and Grocery, located at 2320 Wilkens Avenue. While the first two puzzles and bonus words on the ticket yielded no prizes, Puzzle 3 revealed 10 words—securing the game’s top prize.
After confirming her win with the store clerk, she remained composed and later shared the news with a few close friends and family members. She plans to use the winnings to help family friends.
Pop’s Liquors will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the top-prize winning ticket. The $100,000 Crossword game, launched in June 2024, still has three unclaimed top prizes and seven second-tier $10,000 prizes remaining.
