BALTIMORE — Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with the carjacking of a 76-year-old woman in Baltimore’s Southern District, police said Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 4:47 a.m. on March 11, when four male suspects forcibly removed the woman from her vehicle in the 3200 block of Washington Boulevard before fleeing in the stolen car.
With assistance from aviation units, officers from the Regional Auto Theft Taskforce tracked the vehicle to I-95 near the Canton Avenue exit around 2:50 a.m. on March 12, where they took three 15-year-olds and one 16-year-old into custody.
Three of the suspects were taken to the Juvenile Justice Center and charged with robbery and auto theft. One 15-year-old was charged as an adult with carjacking and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
