Pemberton, NJ – The Township of Pemberton is experiencing an issue with feral cats, and the Burlington County Animal Shelter has initiated a limit of two cats that Animal Control Officers may trap and deliver each week.
Residents are urged to stop feeding the feral cats to manage the situation effectively. Without a food supply, the cats are expected to leave the area in search of sustenance elsewhere.
Ordinance 94-29 addresses animals at large, prohibiting the straying, flocking, or roaming of animals on any public or private properties. The ordinance stipulates that residents who do not comply could face a summons.
